Licensing and Redistribution Information

General

Please read the END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

There are 3 different licence types available for purchase :

Licence Option and Cost Overview
1 Server Licence
  • You may deploy the DateTimePicker onto one physical production computer.
  • You are entitled to unlimited development use at your organisation.
  • You may not also purchase Developer Licences.
1 Developer Licence
  • Only you ( or one developer in your organisation ) may develop code that uses the DateTimePicker.
  • You may freely distribute applications that you develop that contain the DateTimePicker, whether internal to your organisation or for your clients.
  • You may not also purchase Server Licences.
Enterprise Licence
  • Full C# source code is included.
  • You are entitled to unlimited development use at your organisation.
  • You may freely distribute applications that you develop that contain the DateTimePicker, whether internal to your organisation or for your clients.
  • You may not use the source code for any purpose that would compete commercially with the DateTimePicker itself.

Absence of a licence causes the DateTimePicker to assume Evaluation status, and random render nag messages will be displayed.

Redistributing the DateTimePicker

In a deployment scenario, you distribute are the Dune5.DateTimeUI.dll and Dune5.DateTimeUI.DateTimePicker.LIC files. Your purchased serial key must reside on the first line of the Dune5.DateTimeUI.DateTimePicker.LIC file. Both files must be deployed to the same directory on the target machine.

Enterprise and Developer licence holders only : You may freely distribute the DateTimePicker.

Server licence holders only : You may distribute the DateTimePicker to as many machine(s) as you have Server licence(s).

How to Install a Licence Serial Key

Your purchased serial key must reside on the first line of a file called Dune5.DateTimeUI.DateTimePicker.LIC, which must be in the /bin directory of your web application alongside Dune5.DateTimeUI.dll

Note that you will need to wait 10 minutes before ASPX pages serving the datetimepicker control reflect new licence file contents, as the control only periodically checks the licence, not at every instance creation.
